Long before ACTIVIT Welfare Foundation was formally registered, we were supporting individuals, families, athletes, and communities through healthcare, education, and humanitarian initiatives.

The foundation was established to organize and strengthen these initiatives under one dedicated platform, allowing us to support more individuals and communities in need.

Legacy of Service

Our legacy shaped by spiritual wisdom, statesmanship, nationalism, arts & culture, sports, medical innovation, and nutritional science.

1838 - 1908

Syed Ghulam Haider Shah

4th great-grandfather (maternal) of Rd. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed, was a revered figure of Jalalpur Shareef, known for his piety, generosity, and dedication to peace. His wisdom and charitable legacy continue to inspire generations.

1860 - 1931

Sultan Muhammad Khan

Father of Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Grandfather of Prof. Dr. Aftab Ahmed and Great-Grandfather of Rd. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed, was a Cambridge-educated diplomat, Chief Secretary to Afghan Emir Abdur Rahman Khan, and a close associate of Queen Victoria. His legacy lives on through his descendants.

1895 – 1963

Raja Ghazanfar Ali Khan

3rd Great Grandfather of Rd. Rizwan Ahmed. A key figure in the Pakistan Movement, served as Pakistan’s Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Health after 1947. He was the first president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation and later served as a diplomat. His legacy lives on in Pakistan’s political, diplomatic, and sports history.

1911 - 1984

Faiz Ahmed Faiz

Maternal Uncle of Prof. Dr. Aftab Ahmed and Great Uncle of Rd. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed. A renowned poet, writer and intellectual, celebrated for his revolutionary poetry and advocacy for social justice. Honored with the Lenin Peace Prize, his legacy continues to inspire literature and activism.

1928 - 2020

Iftikhar Ahmed Shah

Grandfather of Rd. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed (CEO ACTIVIT). Iftikhar Ahmed Shah was a trailblazing swimmer who represented Pakistan in the 1948 Olympics! An Aitchison College alumnus, his legacy continues to inspire generations. The original ACTIVIT Athlete who dared to dream big!

1940 - Present

Prof. Dr. Aftab Ahmed

Father of Rd. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed. He is a pioneer of orthopedic surgery in Pakistan. Founder of National Hospital DHA Lahore and the first Orthopedic Wing at Services Hospital, he brings nearly 60+ years of expertise in orthopedic surgery.

1981 - Present

Rd. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed

Aitchisonian and Queen’s University Canada graduate, he’s a certified registered dietitian and men’s health specialist (Cornell University & Harvard Medical School). As CEO of ACTIVIT and Director at National Hospital DHA, he pioneers health, longevity, and performance nutrition.

How we operate

Our welfare programs are funded through the ACTIVIT ecosystem. Unlike traditional charitable organizations, ACTIVIT Welfare Foundation does not rely on public donations.

After covering operational expenses, revenue is directed toward projects that improve health, education, and quality of life for deserving individuals and communities.

This allows us to create sustainable impact while maintaining transparency and independence.
